Get to Know Dr. Sufian Mahmoud

Dr. Sufian Mahmoud was born, raised, and educated in New Jersey. He graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Criminal Justice before heading to Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his doctoral degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine. He completed an externship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at University Hospital in New Jersey and a General Practice Dental Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center – RWJ Barnabas Health. During his residency, he completed extensive training in restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, and oral surgery under the guidance of internationally acclaimed practitioners.

Dr. Sufian, remains committed to teaching and learning dentistry. He is a member of several reputable dental associations and academies.

He has received several awards for his ethical and outstanding doctor-patient relationships. Dr. Sufian frequently volunteers in local communities and supports underserved communities both locally and internationally. He also mentors several pre-dental and dental students in achieving their goals. In his dental office, Dr. Sufian works with a focus on cosmetic and complex restorative dentistry which includes the placement/restoration of dental implants and other advanced surgical procedures.
