4 Halloween Costumes That Will Show Off Your Smile

Maybe you’ve just received a teeth whitening treatment, or maybe you simply want to show off your gorgeous smile. In either case, what better way to make your teeth the star of the show than to wear fancy clothes and work some makeup magic? Halloween just so happens to be the perfect opportunity to create a smile-accentuating look.

Don’t believe it? Then keep reading for four costume ideas that’ll put your smile on center stage!

#1. A Bone-White Skeleton

Teeth aren’t exactly bones, but a skeleton’s pearly appearance will nonetheless highlight your dental shiners. You could purchase a characterized costume with black accents to make all the white in your outfit pop, or you could go for something more striking with some creative white face paint. Either way, be sure to smile a lot and rattle your teeth!

#2. A Spooky Pumpkin

“Pumpkins don’t usually have sparkly pearly whites,” you might be thinking. You’re right, but have you seen how elaborate pumpkin art has gotten these days? As a gag costume, you could cut out a sizeable square in one of these orange gourds, so that your face fills the entire cavity. It’ll be like having a quirky autumnal frame filter for your grin – bonus points if you get a friend or partner to dress up as an eccentric artist!

#3. The Tooth Fairy

Now, a conspiracy theorist might suspect that one reason the tooth fairy collects baby teeth is that she has some frightful dental work she’d like to replace. You’ll have to put that idea away for this costume and assume the tooth fairy has brilliant pearly whites. Lean into it with some flashy cool-toned makeup to help your teeth stand out, and you’ll have the perfect excuse to talk about teeth all night long.

#4. Smiley Pop-Culture Characters

Another way you can bring attention to your smile is to simply give yourself a reason to grin a lot, and grin widely! Think along the lines of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, The Joker, or everyone’s favorite self-absorbed jock – Gaston from Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. Have fun with it, and everyone will be cackling right along with you.

Halloween is a great time to have a blast while dressing up for a night; there’s no reason not to show others an aspect of your appearance that you’re proud of, like a brilliant smile. Instead of concealing your face with a mask or vampire fangs, consider one of these four tooth-centric costume ideas – or feel free to take your own inspiration and run with it! Just remember to brush and floss before bed so you can maintain those pearly whites.
